THE SODECAN TRANSFORMATION

In 2012, SODECAN received a remit to undergo a transformation, from a Canary Island Government strategic investment company to its funding manager.

So the company started a process to re-structure its organisational chart and how it operated, which was completed at the end of 2014.

The following video shows how the SODECAN corporate offices in Gran Canaria were re-furbished
thanks to the sponsorship of the CajaSiete bank. Much of our former officers are now used as a space for entrepreneurs.

IMPACT OF SODECAN ACIVITY

Our main IMPACT indicator is the total number of operations (number of companies that have benefitted) and the total funding made available to Canary Island entrepreneurs and companies as a result of our activities.

Our main EFFICIENCY indicator is the total funding we make available to Canary Island companies and entrepreneurs, divided by SODECAN operating costs. In other words: how many euros we inject into the economy for every euro we cost the tax-payer.
